January and February 2022 Trail Camera Photos

Tha trail camera is still giving us an insight into the wildlife using our small pond . An unexpected visitor in January was a snipe, a wading bird usually found in boggy areas. The polecat made an appearance, as well as rats and mice. We had a fleeting visit from an own (Tawny probably), possibly the first picture of a wren at the pond, and it was popular with song thrushes, with 6 of them enjoying the pond on one occasion.

There were plenty of chaffinches and yellowhammers visiting in February. And frequent visits from pheasants still, the red legged partridge was back, there were 2 foxes together and baby rabbits!
